With all due respect Kernel, there isn't any need for ultimatums. We’re just now at the start at looking at things. For example its not just a matter of hardcore vs softcore (by the way “softcore†LOL! good one Kernel) adjusting the health up or down also plays into things. Is hardcore with max health similar to softcore with min. health? These type questions is what evaluation will answer. Does radar play into things much when it’s a small map vs a large one? How does allowing the radar kill perk in a non radar game affect things. There are a lot more questions at this time then knowing which choices may be best from a lot of testing. Also nothing is written in stone. Even when a consensus is met we’re still going to be open to making changes especially if the community agrees as a whole as to a change which would make for better tournament play. For now try to keep an open mind and be willing to try things out before making statements akin to “I’m taking my ball and going home if we don’t do this or that†At the least with this title and the many different setups there isn’t any reason to have only one set of options for all offerings. There may very well be several different tournaments under different guidelines so that everyone can find something that their clan may find entertaining. -
Keep it up guys.. this is great stuff. Keep in mind however we aren't going to be able to make everyone happy. We're going to look at what works best. What fits into the UF model the best and what as a *Majority the UF community would like to see. So get in your opinions by all means but be open to what others have to say as well. Since the final decisions will be based on what the community and staff as the consensus from the best the game has to offer. Although even when final decisions are made we will still continue to evaluate things. Just don't get stuck on one thing and get behind whatever way we go to give it a chance since the choices are going to reflect the community as a whole opinions as closely as possible.

I disagree Mike, COD is a first person shooter but Modern Warfare Two now offers both. While its true the franchise has been considered as a FPS. With the ability to now choose between the two, why not utilize it? IMO though it should not be a perk or left to the decision of others. We may have both FPS offerings as well as TPS offerings for tournament venues. Something we are considering. Personally when I set up MW2 a certain way with TPS engaged it feels more like Socom than Confrontation does..

Liike Joe mentioned the staff as well as the UF Ranger team, the Eval members and for that matter the entire Urgent Fury community are already looking at things. This is part of the reason why UF didn't try putting together a lame tournament right out of the box. Quality is what we are all about here. For us it was decided to get a good look at the game. Identify any possible issues. Evaluate the different modes and game setups, gather intel and deliver a finished tuned product when UF moves into MW2 for tournament offerings. Yes we have to wait a bit. But I believe everyone can see why that is. So please continue to give your suggestions, note any possible problems and provide your opinions. All of it will be taken in and the staff and Ranger officers will be going into detail with testing and evaluating before a UF tournament launch. Right now we are still letting everyone get a feel for the game and have some fun with the new title. But shortly we will be having modes, map walks, and setup in staff to go over all of your suggestions and try to come up with a tournament that incorporates the general communities opinions of good intense and entertaining manners of combat. I had a great experience too.. I just now ran up to game stop gave em a couple of trade-ins off their list paid em $18 and drove home.. no pre order.. no pre pay.. no line.. whole trip including drive time took 12 minutes. (Game stop is about 4 min away) It would have been quicker but I asked the guy if I could leave some UF fliers with him. He said sure.. and thanked me since they were giving out mini-posters last night and ran out he was going to hand out the fliers instead.. Cool. I got it for the Ps3 this time.. figured I'll get the xbox version a bit later.

I hate the Vikings with a fiery passion that lives deep within my loins, but damn, they lose one game and now they suck? They are a very well-rounded team, with an easily top-3 DL, decent LBs and the best RB in the NFL. Favre is overrated, but he's been playing really well for them and getting some production out of their pretty raw receiving corp. With that said, I hope my Packers pound them into the ground tomorrow. I don't hate the Vikings Heck I live in MN.. but they aren't my team I've been a Saints fan all my life and I just haven't changed that even though I moved to MN 14 years ago. But it is irritating for me to hear what the fans here say all the time about the Vikings.. for one they are some of the most fickle fans I've ever seen. Win a few and their team are gods lose a couple and they look to see who to fire and start booing. Man! Saint Fan's are die-hard remember the Aint's? yeah they wore bags but they still went to the games and they still partied down on Bourbon street after the game win or lose!! LOL. So its hard for me to hear the bull around here. Here's an example of how ridicules it is.. After week one a BILLBOARD went up downtown and Stated "MN VIKINGS UNDEFEATED!!" ok at week six that was cool but I said WEEK ONE!! Touting your team as undefeated in week one is preposterous!! HALF the teams in the league were undefeated after week one! LMAO!

Sorry brother, if you were around here I'd take you to the local strip club.. won't make you forget though. I don't thing you ever actually forget.. you just learn to live with it, but a night at the club does help for one night at least.

It has been remove, they now have this thing call death streak. Its for players that are having a bad night or can't play all to good, so they give them a health boost for a limited amount of time and so on. LMAO! what are they calling it death streak... Maybe they should have went with "BOZO Bonus"
