You are correct that wars have boosted our economy by creating manufacturing jobs or blue collar jobs. But that was for US citizens in the US. With KBR contracting the water treatment plants and feeding our troops we have even taken responsibilities from our own troops and are paying someone else to do it. Why?

Marion Shepilov Barry, Jr. (born March 6, 1936) is an American politician who served as the second elected mayor of the District of Columbia from 1979 to 1991, and again as the fourth mayor from 1995 to 1999. He was the target of a high-profile 1990 arrest on drug charges, which precluded him from seeking reelection that year. After he was convicted of the charges, Barry served 6 months in prison, but was elected to the D.C. council in 1992 and ultimately to the mayoralty in 1994, serving a second term from 1995 to 1999. Today, Barry serves on the Council of the District of Columbia, representing Ward Eight, which comprises Anacostia and Congress Heights.

Remember back when Clinton was in office and they had that land scandal? I don't remember the whole story but wasn't Hillary hit with that? Now she is a senator and going to run for President.... makes you wonder. What about DC's mayor didn't he run after all that crack and hooker scandal? and WON if I remember correctly! I am not as knowledgable in politics as I should be but I know there are a lot of felons in our system. Most are for financial dealings, bad checks or whatever. Anything over $350 ( I think it is that low) is considered a felony.

I would DEFINATLEY argue your 5/5 on Game Servers. Is there lag NO but the fact that it says 20/32 game full, stats not saving, stats being deleted when they do save would make it a 3 out of 5. I like the fact that they have ping indicators, sorely needed function on Socom and a network test to determine how many you can host when creating a room is a great feature as well. I would love to see how many Socomers would be surprised on how bad their connection is if they ran this test. I have 15 down and 1 up and can only host 16. There are VERY few that can host 24. Most of the people that I know that play Socom and try and create a room on Warhawk are limited to 4 and they swear they have a great connection. To answer your question highlighted in yellow.... The reason is because it will not let you in a RANKED room once it has started. Although it says 24/32, look at the time. If you get in with 1 minute played, then yes it will let you in but if the match is on 15 minutes of 20...then it will not let you in. It's not the servers....it's the way they have setup the RANKED matches so someone can not just jump in the middle of the match. Test it....go to a room that has a undisclosed number that has not started and jump in....I GUARANTEE you that it will let you in the room. I thought the samething as well but that was the problem....you can't join a room that is in mid match. So, I still give it a 5 out of 5 Reaper Then how come on the PS forums they have stated they are working on that problem? If the reason you suggested is why then why wouldn't they just say that? I will have to check but I could have sworn I have gotten in to a ranked room in the middle of a round.

I remember the first time I played Socom, I bought it with the headset within the 1st week of it coming out. My family was behind me watching me play on a 32" TV, this was the first time mind you and single player, when I went to lean around a corner to shoot a terrorist everyone in the room leaned as if they could see more around the corner if they looked at the TV on an angle.

I know Sequoyah and I are the only 2 from cBF that have a PS3 and are getting WarHawk and WE are cBF but for this maybe we can make an exception? -

I agree with GOAT - BUILD IT YOURSELF!!!!! Get a BAREBONES setup to start if you have to but piece it together and get the things you want cheaper. I put one together for my son - 3.4Ghz Pentium CPU w/ 4MB CACHE, cooling fan for CPU, Motherboard with built-in Gb NIC, 5.1 sound, then Case, Power Supply, 512RAM, 256MB PCIe Video Card for less then $250. already had the HDD, DVD DL-Burner, Monitor, mouse, keyboard and OS

It looks like a BLAST BUT there is one thing that concerns me. It is 100% respawn from what I was told by a beta tester. With the size and all the factors that may not be a bad thing BUT it could ruin it too.

Keep dreaming!!! There is not going to be an update if anything the monkey hit the restart key on the server and the other monkeys have not figured it out yet. This scenario is more likely they Zipper actually doing something good for the community. LOL

I could have sworn there was an article that said they were now combining the 2. I cannot find it and from everything else out there who knows what is going on. Originally it was out the Confrontation and Socom 4 were 2 seperate projects and now there is a rumor that Zipper's next project is something away from the Socom series. I don't know anymore, typical Zipper with lack of info.

Take a look at your first link again. "Also known as: SOCOM 4: Confrontation, SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs: Confrontation" It is now one project. At first it was Socom Confrontation by Slant Six and Socom 4 by Zipper. Now it is Socom 4: Confrontation. I am looking for the interview that states all this but it is true.

As far as release date I hate to break the bad news but IGN has it listed as TBA 2008. At first there was to be Socom Confrontation this fall by Slant Six. Then Socom 4 by Zipper fall of 2008. Now in their infinite wisdom they are combining to make one game but have not solidified a release date.

Where did you come up with this statistic? I can't find it anywhere... lol I am sure that is what the perception is and if you went by how playing online games on the PS2 I would tend to agree. I personally have not come across any glitchers on the PS3 but I have not been online as much as I use to be with Socom. I know Sony has stated that they are going to have a security system in place with the PSN but how far that goes I have no idea.

By the way I was not bashing Xbox Live in my original comparison. My point was to be that a lot of people complain about the cost of the PS3, if you add it all up the Xbox will cost more. I would not mind paying $50/year if Sony did something similar but even with that it would still be more cost affective to get the PS3.

Wow all that about one little comparison in my statement. Anything about the costs for the additional HDD? Or how about the extra cost for the HD-DVD player? Or anything about the fact that you cannot use a larger HDD? How about the fact that developers cannot develop games to utilize a HDD since not everyone that has a 360 has one? Or even develop games that can utilize the HD-DVD for the same reason. At least the PS3 developers can utilize the fact that everyone has at least a 20GB HDD and a Blue Ray player built in. I also hear a lot about lag free games from 360 owners, I also hear that there is still lag on Xbox live. Xbox Live doesn't make your internet connection better so whether you like it or not there will be lag on ANY online system. Lag will disappear when we all have 20Mbps up and download and latency less then 30ms.

For your Mic make sure you have it setup correctly in the XMB system options. I use Bluetooth and that is set as my primary and all I have to do is turn it on and off I go. Another thing about Mics and RB6 - PLEASE make sure your mic volume is set to 2 or 3, default is 5. I tested this with some friends and 2 or 3 seems to be the best so that we can hear you talk and not hear everything going on in your house. That is why you hear the echo if your mic is too loud the sound from the speaker can be heard in the mic.
