  1. 1: They didn't post him up on the lawn because we're not the KKK or back in the days of Vlad the Impaler. 2: We buried him at sea as is customary towards his beliefs. I think you know that, though. The real answer to this question is that we, as American warriors in this situation, acted like warriors. They took down an enemy, mission accomplished, and acted with dignity in the aftermath. They won with honor, they allowed him to lose with dignity. Something we seem to preach here every once in a while for a video game but something no one outside the fucking White House gates that night knew how to do in real life. I'm glad our military did that. There was no reason whatsoever to keep or display his body. It's not like we'll get information from a dead brain. That's what we have all of his hard drives for.
  2. Let's make sure we all talk about pottery after this....
  3. To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction. This was ours...to theirs... Problem is, this is war. Which means it doesn't stop after this exchange. Ball's in their court...and the ball will be coming back. We've just taken out their "twin towers." The reaction will most likely be measurable to what ours was. I believe things will get scary. Though I was in disbelief, and shocked, at the news last night, though it's a small step in this war, I wish this surreal, unbelievable moment didn't have a frat party backdrop outside the House gates during the coverage last night. Seeing college kids jump and chest bump one another while everyone is singing "Hey-ey-ey, goodbye" like they were at a baseball game. It's a war in which last night was a really, teeny, little step. War ain't over, little college kids. We got a man, not the network. Men are easy to kill. America was able to take care of the easy part. Killing the idea...to me, that's when a celebration is warranted. Any celebration prior to that only adds fuel to an already uncontrollable fire...and stokes some hearts. I think it will stoke theirs more than it will stoke ours. And again...now the ball's in their court. I'm happy we got him. Was really hoping we could have turned him into a prisoner rather than a martyr, though I'm certain the killing was a necessity during those crucial minutes. But I'm happy we got him. Next couple weeks/months sure may prove interesting.
  4. Or REALLY enjoy looking on YouTube and seeing how all earthlings freak the fuck out...and they laugh about it. Kinda like playing the dismembered thumb trick with a 3yr-old.
  5. Fuck the dog....I wish -I- could do that! LOL
  6. Oh my god.....I fondly remember my days of that C64 and that wickedly pixelated ARKON game! That game was the shit.
  7. I fear for this thread....I think people are going to start showing before and after pics of blowjobs. Could be a good thread...just depends on which direction the camera's pointing.
  8. I never advocate domestic abuse...BUT....in the context of this thread, this was just fucking hilarious.
  9. This is the absolute best. thread. ever.

  11. Was really waiting for the Droid Bionic to come out later this year, but for the sake of the impending end of the unlimited data plan and my need to preserve it as long as possible, mixing in my remaining new every two upgrade I have with VZW, I was thinking of going Tbolt. Someone here at the office just got it, and he likes it. Got some more drilled down reasons why you're digging this phone, Sweeve? Would love to hear your input.
  12. ....from the BS we've been seeing here on the UF Forums. Not one to stop here a whole lot lately. I have officers who can do that for me and I've just been too busy with new ventures to travel to other forums. But I have stopped by here in the last few days and, well, guys....the bullshit should really stop. Upheavals, tantrums, bruised ego's, diva-diatribes....I don't know why there needs to be a grand exit speech downing what you dislike. I can understand the farewells...I think anyone reading that a clan is leaving in this particular week or whatever KNOW why that clan is leaving. I don't think there's a need to drag peoples' names through the mud, or the name of this tourney through the mud. This tourney's been here for a very long time, and I believe it will remain for a very long time. It takes the support of the clans to do it, and this tourney has been here for YEARS giving clans a great place to play (that can be called "support," too). If ya wanna go......go. It's so weird to see so many abandoned soap boxes sitting around here on this first page of the forum. If ya wanna stay....yay. Every tourney goes through growing pains, and just because this one's been around for 6-7 years doesn't mean it will stop having them. Just roll with the evolution, baby, or head somewhere else. Quick tip: THOSE tourneys will go through changes as well, so don't litter your history with a bunch of pissed-off resignation letters everywhere. RVN doesn't play in any other tourneys. We play here and here alone. Some of the things the "Directors" (sorry guys, LOL, I still find that to be a funny name) do here piss us off as well, but most of what they do here really enhance our clan experience in the way of tourneys and the types of clans we interact with. UF is a good place. There's PLENTY of asses around these parts that will still take some perverse pleasure in dragging my name around in some mud for whatever antiquated pleasure, but those guys are still here playing as well. The players here ROLL with the change because they know this is STILL the best community to be in. Some of what I read, seems people on both sides done fucked up. Get over it. We're not bitchy females that hold shitty grudges against one another because we wore the same dresses at prom. We're gamers...players...respected friends and opponents who can bitch-slap each other in a clan match and still respect each other in the morning. Be nice to see some of that sentiment return 'round these parts again. UF...keep doin' what you're doing, and whatever you have to do better...DO BETTER. Players....keep quitting if you're quitting...but something tells me the community will see ya round these parts again, whether it's next month or next year. But I think the mud-slinging sucks, and shows a real shitty side to those who participated in it on their goddamned soap boxes. See you guys online, and whenever I can pop onto this forum in the near future. RVN supports UF. Always have. We don't idolize it...it has it's faults...but we support the motherfucker until the end of time. Because the ideals need to be kept sacred. And it's up to us, the clans, to help keep it that way. - TOW
  13. Hey everyone - Every once in a while, I pop in here and check out what's going on...or pop in with some stuff I like or something I'm supporting. For a few months now, but really in only 2-3 threads, I've talked about comics, comic conventions, and something cool called wwwComicsPipeline.com - - something I may not have mentioned about it in the past is that it's my company that I started just one year ago. Well, mine with 3 other partners that I believe in and vice versa. We're doing some great things with some really great top-tier creators of the comic book and entertainment industry, and it finally came to some physical fruition at this past weekend's Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, or "C2E2." We met lots of great con-goers and fans of the wicked creators that represented our booth. We really put ourselves out there but, most importantly to me this particular weekend of it all, we used our ability to rally and organize these seemingly unconnected group of creators from one another, and have them ban together to produce an amazing, unique mash-up of art that we put up for raffle throughout the weekend of the con. Each of the three days, top creators from various companies and various books got together and did something incredible...they created something to which all proceeds from the raffle are being delivered by Comics Pipeline to the Red Cross Japan Relief Effort. Simple, $2 raffle tickets were sold to con-goers who wanted to support the effort...with the option to buy batches of tickets, of course....and the response for a brand new player in the comic book world (us) was immeasurable. It was surely bolstered by the star power of our creators...but we felt proud to be the catalyst for this incredible effort. We haven't tallied the final that we're sending to Red Cross just yet, as we're still coming down from the con as well as breaking down booth materials and such...but the pictures of the event try their best to come close to expressing the excitement of the crowd. Those wanting to win this amazing mash of artistry and, more importantly, the ones who I knew bought tickets just to help those struggling for their lives in Japan. I thought I would share some goodness....because goodness is good. http://www.facebook.com/ComicsPipeline?sk=photos - TOW
  14. Hey everyone.... Is anyone heading to the C2E2 show in Chicago next weekend, Mar 18th - 20th? Know there's a lot of fans in here regarding comics as well as the pop culture stars that will be appearing there (from shows like BSG and Walking Dead and stuff) http://www.c2e2.com/en/Whos-Coming/Guests/Entertainment-Guests/ I'll be there all weekend. Anyone else?
  15. Yeah, never had a disappointing night in these rooms.
  16. Congrats, big congrats, to UF and everyone involved. This is pretty damn big and it's so awesome to see where UF is going. I haven't seen the episode yet, as I have yet to get home today, but I'm looking forward to it. So for all the admins and their supporting staff here at UF....nice F'n job, guys. This is a big deal so be as proud as you like of it. Looking forward to all the great things this outlet brings to the community. I can't wait to hear Viper's sweet voice coming out of the surround sound tonight. Way cool! - TOW
  17. Looking at that list, the one that comes to mind is [THM] The Horsemen. Was always a challenge going up against them. Probably set the bar here at UF for a sniper-dominated clan...and they put their actions before their words to earn that distinction. They were headed up by a player named Vex. Renegades....I believe they became the Warriors? Chili will have to correct me if I'm wrong. OHM.....Col. Grinder's (who's in cBF) old clan MOB clan....I believe they became iLL'n or something like that. Opponent-wise...THM will always stand out in memory.
  18. The http://www.ComicsPipeline.com website went live last night...and it's running a wide open Open House for fans to check out. Not only are there pretty wicked comic book artists on there, but also some Hollywood storyboard artists and horror painters on there too. Check it out.
  19. Been a major fan of the comic since it first came out. I think, arguably, it's been my top favorite monthly read for some time now. Great characterization! And they've carried that quite well into this series. Highly recommend it.
  20. LOL....I have to say, that looks pretty neat. Wouldn't mind seeing a Raven perched up on my tree this year. We'll send ours through.
