The same thing happened to me in a free-for-all as well. I was playing on Estate and this guy was keeping up with me kill by kill. Now more often than not, I win the games easily but this guy started to pull away. I didn't know what was going on until the final kill cam. He had a friend in the room and his friend was running to him in a dead part of the map and stopped right for the guy to kill him. So I figured out what they were doing and they just laughed. But I did beat them the next game and they left. I just think if you are going to cheat and rank up, you should at least do it in like a Cage Match where you aren't effecting play for the rest of the population.

SOCOM's issues are completely different then what we are experiencing tonight with Call of Duty. I can't recall a time where SOCOM was down for literally the entire day. While IW is clearly the better game developer, they are pretty foolish in my opinion not to have enough servers to handle the massive amounts of users at launch. I mean, you can't tell me they are surprised at the number of people that bought the game...

Yeah but regardless it would be an enormous sized file. We are talking about developers that spent months fixing all the bugs Q&A found in the ladders and tournaments. There is no way they re-skinned every CA map, which was well over 20 maps.

I have to agree that it is most definitley false. There is no way you can add all those maps into one patch.

I got the new iPhone 3G S about a month ago, and it is one of the best purchases I made. The phone speaks for itself. There are millions of applications, and you get an awesome camera, an iPod, and a GPS. I can't compare it to the Blackberry because I never used one. All I can say is that the iPhone is great. -
I have a PS3 and Xbox 360, so I voted for that. I do have a backwards compatable PS3 though, so I can play PS2 games if need be.

I have Verizon DSL and use a wired connection. I used to have it wireless about a year ago, but experienced too many drops and since then I have used a cabled connection.

Thank you Tow and Sniper for all the hard work you have put in over the years. I can definitely say I am glad I came across this community just a bit over 3 years ago... Welcome to the new owners. What you have planned sounds great, and I can't wait to see it pan out!

This thread is amazing... First off, I do not agree that a clan should be pulled from a hat to sit if they have the required 5 months. If it is set there is no bye, then the last clan to sign up should be the clan sitting out (it has been done like that in other tournaments I have seen). Sitting out a clan if they have 5 months under their belt might not seem that big, but if the clan is out to win the tournament, them missing a month could effect their seeding. As far as COU... you guys have blown this way out of proportion here lately. I always thought you guys were a cool bunch of guys but there have been some odd behavior here these past couple of days. You claim you aren't calling anyone out, but you basically called Seqouyah a liar when he said he pulled your name out of the hat.... Come on guys. I hate seeing threads like this because it reminds me of another place. This is UF. No one's opinions should be thrown out because they have a "low post count." Grow up. >

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. Thanks to Bandit and inadub for running a smooth tacmap tournament. And as always, thanks to Tow and Sniper for making it all possible, as well as the rest of the staff. It was definitely an awesome experience to be a part of.

It is false... You can tell by the wording in the article. It is a punk kid just making stuff up. "...said to be 'excellent for sniping' said Allen Goode." There are loads of errors in the article.

Huh? In the span of 34 minutes? Stop smoking that cheap stuff Blazer, it's frying what brain cells you have left! People can view a topic within that time frame. And crazy, it's the Yellow Light of Death. If your PS3 flashes a yellow light once, that's what you have.

SOCOM: Confrontation 1.50 Update Posted by SOCOM: Confrontation Online Team In addition to Tournaments, Clan Ladders and the Calendar, the team at Slant Six has been busy adding new community requested features to the 1.50 update. The following items have been confirmed for the 1.50 update with additional items to come: Added the ability to join directly into a friend's game off of the friend's list. Added password protected custom games. Drastically improved the weapon selection ring. You can now move while selecting weapons and the weapon selection is much faster and more accurate. Slightly reduced the Famas accuracy. Improved the damage of the Desert Eagle. One shot kill with light and medium armor. Improved sniper rifle damage. One shot kills with bolt action rifles on light and medium armor. Fixed a large number of level exploits. Channel names are sorted alphabetically by default. Reduced the long fade in at the beginning of rounds to less than 1 second (the "darkness" is gone). Added a 30 second game start timer to games when greater than 60% of the players ready up. Clan patches are now displayed on your character in-game. Clan tags are now displayed with your player name in-game. Added center markers to all scopes and changed the color of the crosshairs so that they are visible at night. Kill cam stops following target after 5 seconds. Button prompts in death cam fade out after 5 seconds. Target Spotting now defaults to off. Weapons selected in-game are not saved to your custom loadout. I bought a dazzle a few months ago, and I am finally trying to set it up. I was just wondering if anyone used a dazzle to record ps3 gameplay, because I am stuck. Here is what I am confused about. I have component AV cables for my ps3 (red, white, red, green, and blue). For the dazzle, it only has 1 video slot, which is the yellow video cable. My ps3 component cables did not come with a yellow cable. Keep in mind, when I play I want to play in HD. I do not want to play in SD when I record. So any suggestions to help me out?

I like an All-Star game. First place teams could pick x amount of gunners from each clan, and then each clan gets to send a representative if a member wasn't chosen. Then there could be a fan vote, 5 players nominated and 2 get in or something, haha.
