We really love it too, Caingo. When planning some revamps of the website, this was the one feature that we got done FIRST simply because we were so stoked about it. We knew it would be cool, especially since it will KEEP the dossiers on there and not just getting erased every new month. Plus......those guys just look so durn purdy with their smiles and such!

My post wasn't meant to be received as hostile. If it was, I'm sorry if it came out that way (can't tell if you were being sarcastic or not). But sometimes it just gets tiresome when we do things here to try and make sure 1: that people aren't creating hostilities on the forum and 2: that people aren't SHOWING others that it might be OK to create hostilities on the forum, and when we do something about it, some shining soul or souls need to come in and question every little detail of our handling of it as if we were white cops caught on tape beating a black midget paraplegic. We do things here to keep PEACE. To make sure that the players who ENJOY this tourney and ENJOY coming to this forum don't have to be hassled or harassed. Not everyone here will get along. The larger the community gets, the more evident that will become. However, sometimes it takes MORE effort to blast someone than it does to just click to another thread and leave the one you're on alone.

Chili, I'm not going to get into a debate here because the ban isn't going to change. And I'm only going to go into the mentality of all this for this small bit because you seem to be hellbent on getting all Erin Brokovich about this. There is NO doubt here that CBDS or whatever his lettered name has a whole lot of people here who don't like that he posts on almost every thread on this forum. You know what? I'm not a big fan of it either. He DOES side-track threads. But that's not enough for me to try and pin him down saying "you can only post 10x a day, so make 'em count." I've even had to calm down a lot of the UF Rangers about this guy. It' JUST a poster on this forum. Though, CBDS, I would REALLY start to consider everything that people seem to be saying about your posting habits, myself included, considering it seems to be sparking some ill will around here. The LEAST you can do is to start cutting back on the thread hijacking. As for CpDude, this tourney is for the mature, the honorable, the honest and the respectful. I'm still looking for fragments of those four words in CpDude's entire post as "CBDS=POSTWHORE" -or- in the mentality of - > creating an entirely new account > openly slamming another member of this community > doing it anonymously instead of just outright talking to his opponent about things And, I'm not saying that IS what CpDude did, but it's far too easy to think on many posts out there that people are "j/k" but they say what they like under the guise of joking. No, but every ONCE in a while, we get an adult who gets a little immature and should really KNOW better when they're in the UF arena. He's no stranger around here. And the potshot, however meaningful or meaningless, was unneeded. And I've already admitted, the ban WAS overboard. I could have went two weeks, or even one week. But when dummies need to create friction here in this forum, we would also like to make sure OTHERS know we don't APPRECIATE this type of behavior on this forum. I'm not saying CpDude DESERVED a full month. But I think now he, and others, will know better than to act the fool when a straight-forward post asking someone not to sidetrack threads anymore MAY be better received....and viewed.

With the thousands of threads someone can reply to on this forum, this guy did NOT need to go through the trouble of creating a new name to singly call someone out on a needless thread like that. We do not tolerate that type of open blasting on another UF community member on this forum. It's childish and immature. This thread will now be locked. Updated weather is looking like an improvement. Last week it was projected that Saturday, Aug. 2nd would see scattered showers throughout the day. New predictions as of tonight are calling for Saturday to simply have partly cloudy skies with a high of 86-degrees. LOOKS LIKE BBQ/PICNIC WEATHER! That reminds me.....I need to get some laminated UF signs! Day is drawing nearer.....lookin' to have a GREAT time this weekend!

I've always loved Resident Evil as the BEST zombie horror game ever. I loved the FIRST one the best. But I like it to stay JUST zombies....personally. When they start bringing in all these T-virus crazy alien-looking things, my interest quickly fades. I like the slow lurching, horror-filled feeling of the original game.....not the space invaders versions afterwards.

What I've ALWAYS loved more than these awesome trailers is having them viewed at Cons. Hearing TRUE fans openly cheering for this shit gets ME excited sitting here in my chair. Always adds to it, for me. Good find.

Attention all RONIN players.... The 2nd Round of the RONIN tourney for both SOCOM and CoD4 is now up. The brackets have been updated and the new war match threads are now posted. We here at UF are very interested in feedback for all of our tournaments. We'd like to know your thoughts on the current addition to Urgent Fury, UF: Ronin. We'd like to know from both those who played (your experience in it thus far) as well as those who declined to play (and what your reasoning may have been, either personal, community-based or otherwise). Your thoughts help us fine-tune tournaments, especially new ones, so that we can determine whether or not a particular tourney could or should be a permanent carousel schedule here at Urgent Fury. All thoughts are welcome and we thank you for your time in posting them. Take care. - TOW

Originally, the Ronin schedule was going to roll like this: 1st weeks' wars between Sun-Tue Wed would be break day 2nd week's wars between Thu-Sat In looking at this while looking at how long it has taken (and still may take) players to organize AND play their wars, we can see that there would be potential problems in the wars jumping right from Saturday night to Sunday night. There would be players that would potentially "lose time" on Sunday as they await brackets to be advanced...new opponents to contact through the forum...etc. SO a slight amendment to the overall schedule will go as follows: This first bracket of wars will finish off today as-scheduled. All wars needed (and still need) to be finished by tonight, Saturday. This bracket of wars started on Thursday, giving you a full three days. There will now be a full break day after EVERY set of three days for the bracket. Hence, this Sunday, tomorrow, will be a "break day" to allow the brackets to be refreshed as well as opponents to gather themselves for their next opponent....giving each player a FULL set of three days to organize their war. The second tier of wars will be fought between Mon-Wed. The next "break day" will be Thur. The third tier of wars will be fought between Fri-Sun. The next "break day" will be Mon. The fourth tier of wars will be fought between Tue-Thu. And so on.... This is just another effort to make sure we're not "forcing" the flow of the matches, flirting with the possibility of causing problems and bottlenecks as the tourney progresses. The dates for all wars to happen will, of course, be written in your next opponent and match card. Thank you and good luck to those who advanced this week. - TOW
