Irish, that has been my question forever. Even on the ps2 there were other games that didn't have the online and lag issues Scoom did. Don't get me wrong. /6 did screw up a few things. Some of the changes are just worthless. Most of the problems are the online navigation and menus. But to me, those are things I can live w/o for awhile. Yeah it sucks sending invites and following your clan mates, but everyone seems to be getting by without. To say that the old games were perfect is very laughable. I really think it's a matter of short memories on most people's behalfs. That and the game was released partly finished so every minor detail became a huge one. Granted the game has only been out a few months, but I shut my ps2 off in disgust with Socom at least 4 times a week. It got even worse with Combined Assault. I have yet to get to that frequency with Confrontation. Maybe people are right and I'm one of the lucky ones, I don't know. Last night almost every clan said they had lag issues in wars. I didn't see any problems in our war. I can't speak for DC, but I'm pretty sure they didn't have issues either. I see crazy shit in pubby rooms from time to time, but not like others say they do.

LOL. Irish, you also have to remember most gamers memories don't last longer than the game they are currently playing. Previous Socom's did have problems, some of them HUGE. Quick sniping. That was a problem we had to deal with forever before Zipper finally got off their asses and fixed it. The lag is about the same, that's a big one I can't believe people don't remember. You "virgins" think it's bad now? There used to be guys that would run in place for 20-30 seconds and you couldn't kill them, then they'd warp all around the map insanely fast and people would just fall over dead. On thier screen they were running around normally. We won't even get into the lag switch users that zipper claimed multiple times to have put a stop to, only to see people still using them incessantly. That being said there are a few things they shouldn't have changed. But they did, and it's not that big of an issue. The biggest one imo, being the quick swap issue. I do not believe the old games were a hell of alot better. The game dynamic of this one blows the other out of the water. As soon as they fix the buggy shit, there will be no question which versions are better.

Well unless negotiations take a different route. Smallville will never progress to "Superman" years except in those flash forward episodes. DC's contract with WB is based on Clark pre-costume. It's one of the reasons why Welling couldn't play Supes in the movie. A bad move imo, but it is what it is and we suffer for it.

Yeah, we did football through yahoo this year, and it was awful. The stat tracking is a joke. The draft was a pain in the ass, everything was really. It's prolly the first yahoo service that I didn't like.

What he said. I have to manually switch one of my tv's down to 720. So you might want to check the settings on your tv. Usually a 1080 can be turned down to 720.
