  2. As many know the sponsor for the prize pool for the UF on Tour Chicago event failed to follow through and left us in a poor position. With the lower than minimum threshold turnout, we actually did not bring in enough revenue to cover the cost of the event. We were actually comfortable with the latter part because we were led to believe the sponsor was covering the Prize money. This was a difficult position to be in and has affected everyone involved. With that being said we had a second solution worked out, and everything was going to be good. That has since changed. Unfortunately they decided that it was not financially possible to come to our need. While we are disappointed about this, we do respect that they did come to us and actually inform us of their intent to decline. Where that leaves us and those affected: We are still working on a solution to get our teams that earned winnings their compensation. For those that need new checks or have not received them, we will not send new ones until we can send a cashier’s check. We understand that many of you will be upset, and you have every right to be. We are as upset about the situation as you guys are. This is a low blow to our community. We will continue to push forward and our priority is to get the winners taken care of and our next event 100% prefunded. We will continue to be available any time to provide updates on our progress as we work to resolve this situation. For direct contact you can reach us via the Contact Us Form.
  3. I'd like to formally recognize our newest team member Buster_ to the Ranger Program. There's a lot of activity coming this way so keep your eyes open for threads from these guys. First things first, you still have 3 days to back H-Hour! Also, get your teams signed up for the Chicago tourney!!!
  4. Howdy all! My name is Ben, and I'm an assistant producer and the community manager for a game called Breach & Clear. We're working on a mobile game that we hope is right you your alley here at UrgentFury! Been talking with Shane about our game, and we as a development team thought it would be fun to directly engage gamers (especially core gamers) about their thoughts on a mobile, core-centric title. Breach & Clear is a tactical strategy game where you take control of a small fireteam made up of some of the best special operations teams in the world. At launch, we'll have groups such as the US Army Rangers, US Navy SEALs, US Army Special Forces and Canada's JTF2. You'll get to go on multiple missions across the globe, taking on badguys and what have you! The idea is to give the user as much control as possible, allowing you to set waypoints, decide when and where to look and we let you tackle problems with a rather formidable tool-set. One of my main reasons for being here is to directly engage with core gaming people (being one myself, I played the crap out of SOCOM/GRAW/R6 and other titles when I was younger.) We at Gun Media believe that building great games is the main goal, regardless of the platform. So while we are launching to iOS and Android, we feel this is a title that gamers familiar with strategy and military themes will enjoy. Originally, we meant to make this game a Free-to-Play experience done right. That is to say we were looking for a more PC-oriented F2P mechanism. We've since announced that we're going the traditional route to get this game experience out there as best as possible. Breach & Clear will launch with a $3.99 price point, though the date hasn't yet been set. Wanted to pass along a few pics of the game, see if you as a community were interested in talking about the title and how we can grow, improve and expand it for mobile audiences! This is an example of an in-game gun. We're very focused on creating something more in-depth. Everything from the optic, suppressor and grip are up to the player. In all, we have 7 points of customization. There's a lot of focus on US-based weapons right now, but that's slated to change after launch . Also wanted to link an album for you guys, show off some of the concept art: And an album with some in-game pics: If you are interested, hit us up on www.facebook.com/breachandclear as well as www.twitter.com/breachcleargame!
  5. With all of the events in the last 24 hours, we have decided that the clans that have earned their place to compete in the Urgent Fury arena deserve more respect. Normally we would remove a problem clan and just let the event continue, but this runs deeper. We have clans that have tarnished our community with alternative motives, and overall ruining the experience for members of our community that deserve better. With that being said, POW II will be retired with no closure. There is no POW Champion, no winner and absolutely no Honor among members of several clans involved. To SHO, RVN, SKS, NS and DFW we at Urgent Fury want to apologize to you. In recent years we have lowered our standards because of low participation and this is what we get. We are going to redo the process and qualifications that will be required for a Clan to receive an invite. We are also going to lower the amount of teams we allow to play in the events. To the other clans that have ruined the experience for these clans, good luck with your new venture. I am sure you will do it better like everyone else has.
  6. With MLG's announcement of Black Ops 2 being on the pro circuit, I personally will be watching the stream all weekend on my big screen TV in my room. If you want to see professional players and teams compete, visit twitch.tv and the stream should be located on the homepage. In Black Ops 1, I started out playing only Search and Destroy (hence why that is my favorite mode and my best mode) and started with a 0.88 K/D and a sub 1.0 W/L. It was my first Call of Duty that I had obtained in its prime playing time (Christmas lol). I was 15 at this time and knew virtually nothing. I was picked up by a clan 7DaY (which is now a runescape clan lol) after I dropped 10+ kills on them. After running with them for a couple weeks, I ran into the former WaR* clan. Among the members, wing-628, II-R3CON-ll, and paidassassin were having issues with the immature 15 years old and below members of 7DaY. I was keeping to myself and just kept playing. After 7DaY won several games, wing-628 and Dulton (the "leader" of our group who was also 15) got into an argument and it led to us having a competitive search match where 7DaY won (and I would like to point out that I was on top lol) but the shit talking was unbearable. I wanted a more mature clan and after talking to those 3 members of WaR*, I decided to be with them. We entered a tournament and I played in one match (but couldn't play in others because I was on the JV football team at the time) and I simply stayed top wood on Firing Range CTF and kill whored like I was told to do. That was my first competitive Call of Duty match. In the process of competing, wing-628 and II-R3CON-ll told me about their goals to start a professional team and I shared their admiration and vigilance. It may sound sad, the best time of my life was with 18+ year old dudes playing call of duty trying to make a lifestyle out of it. That was 2 years ago. Now I'm here. But that story actually had a point to it. During my time with Wing-628, II-R3CON-ll, and our 4th geesweb, I watched an MLG stream for the first time. It was MLG Anaheim and the finals were LvG vs FeaR with FeaR up 3-0 at the very start because they beat LvG in the winners finals. LvG came back and beat FeaR 6-5 (best of 11) and I was losing my mind all weekend from the epicness omitting from the professional world. After that one livestream, I was thinking more crucially and was becoming a better player because I was learning from those streams. So if you want to become a little better by learning some moves from the pros or you enjoy watching the competition, I invite you to come watch the stream! Sent from my iPhone 4 using Tapatalk
  7. Hello all. I would just like to tell the community that we will try our best to bring the Battle Bowl Trophy home to Urgent Fury and represent Urgent Fury the best we can. I hope to see everyone checking out that livestream once it starts, and I can't wait to get this match started. It's going to be a great game!! Also, I would like to thank all of the other teams that played some great matches, and more importantly I would like to thank the Urgent Fury staff for this wonderful tournament. We appreciate the prizes offered and all of the support from the UF Community/Staff! We thank you for this opportunity! -Batman1471 and the "Eh Batman Flow is #2FLY" Team
  8. Head over to the POW II Information Center to find out how each room will be set up. We will add The Great Escape Settings after we launch... it has some surprises that we are not quite ready to share yet. Applications are now open and it is never too soon to apply, remember we have 4 different thresholds: 8, 12, 16 or 20 teams. We did have an application come through this week from a team with only 3 members, before you apply be sure to read the rules as well as the application itself... if you answer no to questions like if your rep can report your wars within 12 hours, you will not be considered for the event. TacMap tournaments are an exclusive invite only event. All that apply may not be invited, and if we do not have 8 suitable clans we will not run the event.
  9. Who is your pick for this Division Face off? Choose your two teams that will move forward (vote in the pole above): Green Bay Packers vs San Francisco 49ers Seattle Seahawks vs Atlanta Falcons
